I LOVE THE BASEMENT

THE BASEMENT IS WHERE TOM WAITS LIVES
AND THE GHOST OF MY DADDY,
DOWN AMONGST THE TOOLS. SOMETHING IS WAITING THERE TO BE STATED
WHAT?
Down in the basement I seek you and your message.
I want to tell the story
rubbing my tired brain will not be adequate.
there is little to no dust down here, for I have cleansed the environment.
I want to build something with corks and dowels.
The story must be told and yet when will I make the time to be down there in the basement building your old story. soon. the drill, the corks, the wood are all waiting for me to remember the moment of an old tale waiting to be told.
